U Think Other Mothers 25 Cent Sale is Cheap, think again!

This weekend being the last weekend of the month, it is time for kids clothes to be on sale at Other Mothers and Kidz Again. What? You've never heard of Kidz Again! It is located on Fairview between Meridian Rd. and Locust Grove, next to Hastings. You turn off of Fairview like you were pulling into Hastings but instead of turning left into Hastings parking lot, turn right instead and they are in the building in front of you.

Well, now that you know where to find it, you need to know why you want to go there for kids clothes.

Other Mothers is a great place to get kids clothes at their 25 cent sale, but Kidz Again has a $1 bag sale! So, you get a bag close to the size of a grocery bag, then anything you have in that bag totals $1, whether there is 2 things or 20 things in it, whether it is full or not! My bag was overflowing and it was still $1! They do have bags that are bigger so you can shove more things into one bag. I believe they are $3 for bigger bags, but they could be $2. Personally, I thought I could fit more things in 2 small bags than one big bag. Also, you have to get the bag from them. You cannot bring your own bag to the sale.

Last month, I bought 3 small bags for $3 (total) and when I got home I had over 80 items in it. Yes, they were rather full! But it is exciting to think that I had a fabulous deal at Other Mothers paying 25 cents an item, but my last trip to Kidz Again ran me 3.7 cents an item! No, I did not get all itsy bitsy stuff either! There was adult clothes in there too and a bed sheet. The only accessories were 2 hats and 1 belt, the rest of those 80 items were actual clothes.

Both stores on on the same schedule and have pretty much the same hours. Sale is on Friday and Saturday of the last whole weekend at both stores. (Last whole weekend means the weekend that has both a Friday and a Saturday, so if the last day of the month falls on a Friday, then the sale will be on the weekend before that.) Other Mothers opens at 10 and seems to be strict about their hours. Kidz Again opens at 10 also but if you show up early, he doesn't seem to make you wait until 10 to pick out items. Both stores have new items brought out on Saturday that were not out on Friday.

Go check them out! No, I am not paid by them to talk about their sale!! I just think it is a great deal and am sharing the info!

GoGurts for how much??

Have you been to the yogurt isle at Albertson's recently?
I wandered past on Monday and noticed a green tag on the Gogurts for 99 cents (at Meridian/Cherry Albies)! This is one of those moments where you say Grrr! I know I have a coupon for that at HOME! I went back the next day and they were gone so I went to Ten Mile Albertsons and there Gogurts were marked $1.00. I bought all my coupons would allow, being 12! Some were from the paper, most were internet printable, which states "Do not double."

I thought 60 cents for a box of Gogurt is a fabulous deal. The last time I stocked up, the final price as $1.00.

I came home and printed more from coupons.com, smartsource.com, allyou.com. All 3 websites have coupons for 40 cents off 1, and 80 cents off 2. Some of them I had printed before, so between 3 websites and 2 computers, I was able to print off enough to buy 20 more! The store had 16, so the coupons I had left, I used on Yoplait Trix yogurt, which was also 99 cents!

If the store lets you double them, that makes them 20 cents a box!! If not, 60 cents a box. I always try to double them. It varies by store and cashier of whether they will do this or not for you.

I bought 26 boxes of Gogurt and 4- 6 packs of Yoplait Trix for $6.49! The first set of 10, only 2 doublers were used (instead of 6) and I did use a survey coupon.

If you are wondering what I am going to do with all these Gogurts, then the answer is freeze them. Instead of a regular popsicle, my daughter gets yogurt popsicles. Sometimes we go through a box in 2 days, sometimes it is a week.

Go check out your local Albies to see if they have this deal! I went back to Ten Mile later that same day that I bought them and the shelf was restocked but they were back to being $2.99 instead of $1.00. I am not sure if when they run out, they restock the shelf and remove the tag OR restock and leave the tag until a certain date. Mer. Rd/Cherry was out when I got there but he restocked the shelf before I left but the tag was still there. Who knows?

total paid $0.80 plus tax, but would have been free if I hadn't had trouble but I'm not complaining! $0.80 for almost $50.00 in makeup!! If you don't run into trouble like I did, you could do this and it would be only tax!

Watch out though, some Rite Aid stores are saying you need to actually buy one to use the coupon, so you get 3 for the price of 1. Meridian Rite Aid says 3 for the price of 1 but Cole/Fairview Rite Aid is where I did my deal.

If you do this deal, be sure to have the items scanned all in a row. I had four in a row and the computer automatically deducted the free item. Two of the makeup were intermixed with other items and did not get automatically subtracted. I thought it was more than what I expected but paid anyway and came home to find out what happened. I went back to get my money and they gave me the lesser valued one's money back. The cashier thought that the lip gloss gave it trouble, but lips are part of the face and should have been counted so watch the register ladies!

While you are there, get some free Wet Ones and some free Suave Lotion (see Brenda's post below). Both items are 1.99, have $1 coupons and $1 rebates making them free. Wet Ones coupon can be found linked on Krazycouponlady. While you are looking at Krazycouponlady, check out the free baby products also at Rite Aid. That is, if you can find a Rite Aid that has any in stock. Maybe they will get a shipment this Saturday?!

    Sixty-Nine Cents???

Thanks Nikki for telling me about this AWESOME deal! And locating my coupons for me...And printing the Rite Aid coupon for me! And.....what an AWESOME friend, huh?

I just got 4 Air Wick Freshmatic Ultra's and 1 Suave Lotion for $.69...TOTAL!
The AirWick Ultra's are 50% off at Rite Aid. Some were regular priced $12.99, some were $13.99, so they rang in as $6.49 and $6.99. If you have only one coupon, buy one, and pay only .49 or .99!

    Here's what I did:

$13.98 for two Air Wick Ultra Relaxation Lavender and Chamomile fragrance (reg $12.99 ea, sale $6.49)
$12.98 for two Air Wick Ultra FreshWaters Fragrance (reg price $13.99 ea, sale $6.99 ea)
$ 1.99 for one Suave 18 oz lotion
    $ 1.74 Tax
    $30.69 SUBTOTAL
    -$ 5.00 used $5/$25 at RiteAid (http://www.coupons.com/)
    -$24.00 used four $6 coupons (SS 8/9 and 8/30)*
    -$ 1.00 used $1/1 Suave coupon (RP 9/8)
$ 0.69 TOTAL OOP (total Out Of Pocket) Oh, and there is a $1 rebate for the lotion, so this was all BETTER THAN FREE! Yahoo! I like it!

The Rite Aid in downtown Meridian is out. Nikki found some on a rack by the lightbulbs at our local rite Aid, so if your shelf is empty, look around! They weren't marked 50% off on the endcap, but they ring up that way! Just ask the cashier to check for you if you aren't sure...

When you pay, put all your items up and hand them the $5/$25 Rite Aid coupon first. Then after that is taken off, give your other coupons. If yours is under the $25, buy a pack of gum or something cheap to make up the difference.
*read SS 8/9 and 8/30 as this: "Smart Source coupon insert from the Aug 9 and Aug 30 Sunday Newspaper)."
    Thanks Nikki!

    Free Life Savers

Albertsons (and possibly other places!) has the bags of LifeSavers candies for $1 a bag. Many of the bags have a little circle on the upper right hand corner that says "Save $1 Bonus Buck, coupon in every bag!" Inside of those bags, is a $1 off coupon for another bag of lifesavers! I bought 3 bags, paid $3. Then I opened those, got out the $1 coupon, and went back and got three more bags, which were now FREE with the coupon. I also bought 2 gallons of milk ($1.99 each) and doubled the lifesavers coupons, and ended up paying $.99 for all!

$3.00 for 3 bags of lifesavers ($1 each)
$3.98 for 2 gallons of milk
    $6.98 SUBTOTAL
    -$3.00 used 3 LifeSavers coupons
    -$3.00 used 3 Doublers
$0.99 TOTAL OOP! (well, plus tax...)

So, Grand Total for all transactions:
    $3.00 + $0+ $0 + $0 + $2.98 + $0 + $0 + $0 + $0 + $0=$5.98 BUT I have the $3 OYNO, from the last Post transaction, so if I figure that in, then it's like I paid $2.98! Awesome...if I do say so myself!

    Retail Value: $174.59
    I paid: 2.98 + tax!

Here's some hints: I ordered Lysol coupons from ebay, 30 cost me $4.98, so I suppose I really should add that to my total, but $4.98 for 24 containers of free wipes? Definitely worth it to me! I watch the ad on pinchingyourpennies.com to see if anything is free or SUPER DUPER KILLER CHEAP in the up coming Albertsons ad. If it is, I hurry and get on Ebay and order coupns ("BUY NOW" only, I don't bid on auctions...you have to do it early enough in the ad cycle that the coupons will arrive before the sale ends. THEN I go into Albertsons and have them order me the amount of the product I want. That way, I don't clear the shelves (not cool) AND I make sure I get what and how many of the items I want. So when I saw that Lysol Wipes were FREE with coupon and doublers, I:
    1. Went to ebay to see if more coupons were available. Ordered them on a "Buy now"
    2. Went to my favorite Albies (Old Meridian by BigLots) and had the General Manager order me 2 cases.
    3. My coupons arrived on Monday.
    4. Went to Albies Tuesday morning, picked up my two cases, and paid. I passed on 3 extra coupons to one of the clerks, and 3 more to a lady (Gina) that I met in the store.
